Officer Melvon Litton Huff
End of Watch: Wednesday, July 4, 1945

June 8, 1919

On July 4, 1945, Officer Huff was en route to 31st and Van Brunt Blvd., to monitor Independence Day traffic, when he lost control of his motorcycle at 47th and Benton and hit the curb. The impact threw him over the handle bars, and into a utility pole. Officer Huff died from his injuries at the scene of the accident.

Officer Huff was survived by his wife.
