Officer Benny A. Hudson
End of Watch: Thursday, November 24, 1960
Born: October 12, 1938

On the evening of November 24th, 1960, Officer Hudson was dispatched on a robbery call and upon his arrival, he encountered three men armed with guns. He and the other officer that responded to the scene were caught in a gun battle with the suspects, and Officer Hudson was mortally wounded. Two of the suspects fled the scene and the third suspect confessed to officers that caught him a short time later. The other two suspects were apprehended at a later date.

Officer Hudson had been with the Kansas City Police Department for four months and had served for three years in the United States Air Force. He was survived by his wife.
