KCPD Memorial  Lest We Forget

This Memorial Site is dedicated to the 119 officers who lost their lives protecting our city.  Just as our country's freedom and international security has been bought with the blood of those serving in our armed forces, these heroes have laid down their lives in the ongoing struggle to keep our city safe. May this Memorial honor their memory and be a constant reminder of their sacrifice.

The annual Missouri Memorial Service sponsored by the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police, will be held at the Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial, located behind the Capitol building in Jefferson City.

Not gold, but only man can make a people great
and strong;
Men who, for truth and honor's sake, stand fast
and suffer long.
Brave men who work while others sleep, who dare
while others fly...
They build a nation's pillars deep and lift them to the sky.
'The Great Men" by Ralph Waldo Emerson
